Additional Expenses
While most of the major costs for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra are covered in our package including transportation, accommodation, meals, permits, and guide services—there are still a few additional expenses that travelers should be aware of.
These extra costs may vary depending on your personal needs, preferences, and unforeseen circumstances. It's important to budget accordingly to avoid any inconvenience during your journey.
Common Additional Expenses Include:
- Personal Expenses: Snacks, drinks, laundry, phone calls, and internet access during the trip.
- Tipping: Tips for guide, driver, and support staff (usually expected in Tibet and Nepal).
- Emergency Costs: Helicopter evacuation, medical treatments, or early departure due to altitude sickness or other health issues.
- Visa Fees: Any extra fees related to Tibet/China visas or emergency changes.
- Porter or Horse Charges: If you choose not to walk during the Parikrama, you may need to hire a horse or porter, which is not included in the package.
- Travel Insurance: If not already purchased, this is highly recommended and should cover high-altitude trekking and emergency evacuation.
- Shopping & Donations: Personal shopping or temple/monastery donations made along the route.
Planning ahead and understanding these potential costs helps ensure a smoother and more fulfilling spiritual experience at Mount Kailash.
