If you're planning to trek in the Kanchenjunga region or any restricted area of Nepal, understanding the permit requirements and trekking regulations is crucial. The government of Nepal has specific rules in place to preserve the environment and ensure the safety of visitors and local communities.

Key Permits Required:

• Restricted Area Permit (RAP): Required for entering protected regions like Kanchenjunga. Must be arranged through a registered trekking agency.
• Conservation Area Entry Permit: The Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Permit (KCAP) is needed to enter the conservation zone, supporting environmental and community conservation efforts.
• Trekking with a Licensed Guide: Solo trekking is not allowed in the restricted Kanchenjunga region. You must trek with at least one other person (excluding guide/porter) and hire a licensed trekking guide.

Permit Application Process:
